Starting Area
Head Right and and destroy the barricades along the way. A brief cutscene will trigger and afterwards down down to enter Area 1.
The Enemies below appear in this chapter. The game sometimes randomizes which and how many enemies appear in a battle. Check out these quick tips. You can press + anytime during a battle to inspect enemy details.
- Mithra Seer: Corruption can inflict Poison to all Heroes at the same time. They also have the ability to inflict Despair. This makes Heroes unable to Heal. All this combined with their Regeneration makes them a very formidable foe. Use their Fire weakness against them. Team Up Copernica and Armilly to increase Fire damage and lower Fire defenses on enemies.
- Innate Defenses: +2 Physical, -2 Fire, +2 Frost
- Vounan Glóh: Just like other Glohs, it can Split to make reinforcements and heal itself.
- Innate Defenses: +2 Fire, Frost Immunity, -2 Storm. Immune to Burning Condition.
- Frost Trooper: These look like previous Void Troops and have the same moves. They’re defenses and HP are different from those however. Use Storm damage to weaken them! Beware of their Counter Attacks.
- Innate Defense: +1 Physical, +1 Frost, -1 Storm.
- Highland Mage: These enemies keep function the same as previous Mages. Prevent them from healing, and use Fire to take them out quickly.
- Innate Defenses: -1 Fire, +2 Frost, +2 Arcane
Area 1
This Area will feature it’s first enemies. Defeat them and then press A to use the ladder and reach Area 2
Area 2
There is a locked door in the center of this area. The door blocks Area 8 containing Lightning Rod for Copernica. Area 7 contains a switch that unlocks these doors.
Visit the Merchant to check out some new cards. Fire Up (Armilly) is a good investment if you can craft it. The Merchant now sells The very rare Materials, like Phoenix Plume. They cost a pricey 5,000 Gold. You can also earn them by encountering certain enemies later in the campaign as well as from prizes at the Colosseum.
Head Right and break the barricades in your way. You can evade the enemies by quickly running in between them, or choose to battle them. Exit the area on the Bottom/Right corner.
Area 3
You’ll likely be unable to evade these enemies. After the battle continue heading left.
Area 4
Walk over to the large mound of ice on the right and press A to collect 2000 Gold. Then Press A to go through the open door into the next Area.
Area 5
Area 5 contains two paths. The path straight ahead via the ladder continues the story. Towards the left is Area 6, containing two chests with cards - so we’ll go there first,
Head Left to encounter more Frost Troopers. This battle will also likely introduce the Highland Mage. Focus on the Mages with Fire damage and try to take them out first. After the battle, use the ladder to reach Area 6.
Area 6
This area contains two special chests. The one on the right contains two Winds of Madness Cards for Orik. The chest on the left contains Power Play. Exit Area 6 via the ladder and use ladder on the top right of Area 5 to reach Area 7.
Area 7 & 8
Head towards the Right breaking any barricades in you way. Hidden by rocks in the foreground, is a switch. Walk near it and press A to activate it. Check out the image below to help find it.
This switch opens the locked doors from Area 2! Defeat the enemies on the left side of Area 7 while you’re here. Their rewards may help you with the Merchant which you’ll be passing by soon.
Head down back towards Area 2. Enter Area 8 and press A to open the gate and gain access to the chest. Before returning to Area 7, stop by the Merchant if you want to purchase something. Once in Area 7, use the left path to exit into Area 9.
Area 9 & 10 Barga Battle
Area 10 to the left contains a battle against several large enemy Bargas. It’s best to make preparations now! Bargas are essentially the same type of enemies as Ogres and Corsars. They have significantly more Health than previous ones. They’re Fire weakness makes them extremely susceptible to Armilly and Copernica! Use moves like Fire Up, Flame Wave and Inferno to deal lots of damage to multiple enemies at once.
- Barga: These only deal Physical damage. They have the ability to increase their Strength and Physical defense. They can also regenerate.
- Innate Defenses: +2 Physical, -2 Fire, +2 Frost, -2 Arcane. The Barga Chieftain has no innate defenses and instead has twice the HP as the others.
There are three Bargas and one chieftain in the battle. Below are some sample loadouts that are helpful for this battle. Make sure to save at the Hero Status after building your decks and before heading into Area 10!
